MGM Eye Institute (MGMEI) was established in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in 2004. Its mission is to provide high-quality and comprehensive eye care services to the economically underprivileged. Apart from clinical services, MGMEI also provides eye care training and education to the youth.

Annual Free Surgery Capacity

Since early 2018, Sankara Eye Foundation (SEF), USA has partnered with MGMEI to provide cataract surgeries to those in need. SEF, USA funded the construction of two state-of-the-art modular operating theaters at a cost of INR 2.95 crores. By 2025, MGMEI expects to double its current annual capacity for free surgeries.
