Tears of Joy!

Twenty-three-year-old Pinky sat weeping at the Government Community Service Centre in Mahadaleshwar, Madhya Pradesh, as she awaited further instructions from the optometrist at the Sankara Eye Hospital, Indore.

A much-loved daughter of doting parents, Pinky gradually lost vision in both her eyes three years ago. Once passionate about cooking and managing the household, she now felt helpless, spending her days in despair, hoping for a miracle. Her parents were equally worried, as Pinky was of marriageable age, and finding a suitable groom for a blind girl seemed nearly impossible.

When You Are Down, Lift Someone Up!

At the eye clinic, the optometrist assured her that surgery could restore vision in one of her eyes, where a mature cataract had been detected and was easily curable. Overjoyed, Pinky wiped her tears and listened carefully, a newfound hope filling her heart.
