A Government Messiah

Sankara is a whole of many many parts made up of its donors, volunteers, employees, partners, vendors, associates, grassroot workers and most of all the government.. It is a whole of many many parts made up of its donors, volunteers, employees, partners, vendors, associates, grassroot workers and most of all the government.

And the government is represented by its employees who are helping us meet our goals.

Mahesh Patidar is one of the government employees closely associated with Sankara Eye Hospital.

He is the optometrist working at the Community Service Centre, Mahadaleshwar, about 90 kms from Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

Mahesh not only loves his job at the centre, he even fills in for vacancies in the nearby villages when required! And, he is quite a linguist!

23 years of working in tribal area, and the last 6 in Mahadaleshwar, Mahesh speaks the language of the locals, thus making them open up to him easily with their issues.

With an ever smiling face, he patiently listens to all their stories and problems, efficiently conducting their eye tests while chatting merrily with them. The locals love him!

And we, thank him for his contribution in selecting and sending needy patients for the free eye surgeries at Sankara Eye Hospital, Indore.
